...or continues, rather. In August of 2006, we learned of the musician/performance artist Ryan Avery from our old stomping grounds, Phoenix, AZ. If you are from PHX, you might remember seeing him on the cover of the New Times. Anyway, that's how we learned of his glorious antics, and about halfway through the article--right about when it describes how he got kicked out of middle school for wearing a wizard costume, decisions were made to document Ryan's life.

We made a beeline for AZ with borrowed equipment and shot some footage--thinking we had a fantastic short in the works. We quickly found that a short film couldn't possibly contain half of Ryan's shenanigans. Furthermore, there was far more to him than his performances.

Right now we are racing to finish the film. If you happen to catch it when we're done, we're pretty sure it will put a smile on your face. But, don't be surprised if Ryan inspires you. He inspired us.
